Policies and Procedures for Changing Travel Dates or Destinations
If you’re looking to change your travel plans with Paylater Travel, whether it’s adjusting your travel dates or modifying your destinations, here’s everything you need to know:
General Rules for Changing Travel Details
Eligibility for Changes - Your ticket must be eligible for changes as defined by its fare rules. Some tickets, such as Basic Economy or the most restrictive fares, do not allow changes. - Non-refundable fares also usually do not permit modifications. Always review the specific fare rules before proceeding with any changes.
Same Airline Restrictions - Changes can generally be made provided that you stay within the original airline’s network. This applies to both travel dates and destination changes (if permitted). Re-routing outside the airline’s service or switching airlines is not allowed.
Courtesy Period for Recent Bookings - If you made your booking within the last 12 hours, you qualify for a courtesy period to cancel your booking for a full refund. After cancellation, you can rebook with updated travel details.
Costs Associated with Changes
When making changes, multiple costs might apply:
Service Fee: A standard service fee to cover Paylater Travel’s operational costs applies per passenger.
Fare Difference: Depending on the price difference between your original and new booking, an additional fare difference may be charged. Note that both fees must be paid upfront and cannot be added to your existing payment plan.
Changing Your Destination
Destination changes are generally allowed, but they are subject to certain limitations: - They must remain within the servicing airline’s network. - The new destination should also meet the airline’s routing and policy guidelines. Changes outside the network or re-routing are not permitted.
Flexible Travel Dates and Alternative Options
If your preferred travel dates do not have available fares (e.g., economy), you’ll be asked if you’re flexible. Flexibility with your travel dates can help find suitable options and avoid complications.
Step-by-Step Process to Request Changes
Log in to your Paylater Travel account and find your booking details.
Determine the eligibility of your ticket for modifications by checking the fare rules.
Contact Paylater Travel to request changes. Make sure to have all necessary details on hand, such as your booking reference number.
Be prepared to pay any service fees and fare differences upfront.
If your booking is fully paid, you can also directly contact the airline to request adjustments. Airline policies will apply in such cases.
Situations Requiring Immediate Attention
Impacted by Airline Schedule Changes - If the airline adjusts your travel schedule, you may request modifications due to this change. Ensure the request is made promptly and within the same airline’s inventory.
Basic Economy Fares - Modifications are not permitted for Basic Economy tickets. In such cases, you may need to consider rebooking or purchasing a new ticket.
