How and when will I be charged?

The charges on your plan

Your deposit is charged when you book. It is a separate charge from your instalments.

Your first instalment comes out one week after you book.

Every instalment after that runs automatically on the day and frequency you chose, from the card on file. You do not need to do anything for a scheduled payment to go through.

We send a reminder before each one and a receipt after each one. Your full schedule and history are in your account.

Each instalment is charged on its own

We charge every instalment as a separate transaction rather than grouping them. That is worth knowing because of how it can look on a statement.

Two charges close together: If you have caught up on a missed payment shortly before a scheduled one, both appear separately. That is two instalments, not a double charge.

Several on one day: If you have had an extension approved, the payments that were moved land together on your new date, along with anything already due that day. This is the most common reason a charge is larger than expected.

Which card we use

We charge the card on file. You can change it at any time in your account, and the new card is used from your next payment onwards.

If your card expires or is replaced, update it before your next payment date. Banks do not pass new details across automatically.

Things charged outside your plan

Extra baggage, seat selection, meals and any change fees are paid upfront as one-off charges. They cannot be added to your instalments, so they will appear separately and at a different time from your scheduled payments.

Refunds

Refunds go back to the card used for the original payment. If that card has since been closed, tell us and we will work out where to send it.

If a charge does not look right

Contact us before contacting your bank. We can check it against our records straight away, and a refund is much faster than a chargeback. Raising a chargeback cancels your booking, which is difficult to undo even when the charge turns out to be correct.

Send your booking reference, the date and the amount.
